the NEW cow shed

local cultivator with added weight

The family owning this farm in Punjab / India, researched for advanced dairy farming syדtems, developed for a similar production environment. They visited Israel and we presented them with the dairy systems developed here. Following we designed and supervised the establishment of this project.

It's manager worked for several weeks on a large dairy farm in Israel and upon his return, implemented his practical hand's on experience at his own farm.

The Single Row Maize harvester was introduced - which can be operated by the available small local manufactured tractors. The full crop maize is cut into short pieces and stored in silage pits. With this silage and other feed ingredients, every day - a Total Mixed Ration ( TMR ) is being prepared with the 5 cu.m. Mixerwagon, again operated by the small tractors of the farm.

Today there are 140 milking cows at the farm, averaging more than 6,500 kg. of milk per lactation. The top cows are close to 9,000 kg. milk, no doubt a respectful achievement in Punjab.
